The 60 hectare biology country court Ellenberg lies approx. 5 kms to the east of Bad Bevensen North Germany. Main point of the court is the cultivation of potatoes and the marketing of old potato sorts.
LINDA, the queen of the German potato. From the 01.01.2005 it is not led any more in the federal sort list. Fa Boehm/Europlant has for LINDA for whom it had the sort protection till 31.12.2004, shortly before the admittance (which ran till 2009) taken back. Because only the sort protection owner can extend the admittance in the sort protection time or may pull back at any time the admittance. Fa Boehm/Europlant has no more interest in LINDA, because they would like to expel their new varieties with royalties at the market. There LINDA stands in own Konkurren.
