Marlon Alexander Lux Bal. Homeless World Cup Rio de Janeiro, 2010.
Marlon Alexander Lux Bal was abandoned as a child in Guatemala. He discovered a love for the game at the Jovenes center in Boyle Heights, and now he's poised to represent the U.S. in the Street Soccer World Cup in Brazil. Alex, as he is known, grew up on his own in Guatamala City, and earned money by recycling cans he found in the trash.
