Willard MPakati (18)..Zambia..The devastating impact of the HIV/AIDS virus has led to a huge .number of young people, often orphans, living on the streets in .Zambia. Often these youngsters are abused and at risk of .infection.The Zambian Youth Academy aims to get youngsters .away from the street anduse sport to develop skills that will .allow them to make positive change intheir lives. As well as.providing young people with the motivation and skillsto succeed .the Academy also runs a leadership programme aimed at .nurturingfuture community leaders. And, with football leading .the way, the Academy iscommitted to improving the quality of .sport in Zambia. Now, for the first time, the Academy's teamwill .challenge for the Homeless World Cup. Disappointed at missing .out lastyear when their visa application was rejected, and with .the pride of beingambassadors for the Youth Academy, the .team will be desperate to prove they aregenuine contenders .this year.
