Bou embolat en Vila Real.On May 17, parade with dances and traditional parties are dedicated to San Pascual Baylón, ." Bou embolat " it is a variation of " bou al carre ", though much more recent (it seems that it began the 19th century). In that epoch it was complex enough to give up a bull in the street in the night due to the scanty lighting. This way, the solution was to install a special iron-work in the head of the bull to support two torches in the shape of ball - embolat - that were illuminating the streets, warning the people of the presence of the bull. Nowadays, this light source would not be necessary, but the tradition continues of this form. Normally, the same bull or bulls that are given up during the day are "lies" in the night. At the end of the release - approximately two hours, they are sacrificed by a professional butcher and the meat is sold.
